  Jurnal Mebang: Kajian Budaya Musik dan Pendidikan Musik is an academic, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated exclusively to research on music and music education. The journal founded and first published in 2021 by the Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Cultural Studies, Mulawarman University. Issues are published in April and October.

  The journal is nationally accredited with a Sinta 5 rating in accordance with the decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 230/E/KPT/2022. This national accreditation is valid from Volume 1 Number 1 (2021) to Volume 5 Number 2 (2025).

  The journal welcomes submissions on ethnomusicology, traditional/folk/nusantara music, music performance, music creation, music education, musicology, music culture study, traditional music for therapy, technology and digitization of traditional music, religious music, and other relevant music research.
