Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Terms of Writing

  1. The article process takes 8—20 weeks (maybe more) to get the final decision. The published edition will be informed after the author fulfills the administration, which will be informed via email.
  2. The manuscript has never been published in any journal or other media and does not contain elements of plagiarism, as evidenced by a written statement from the author.
  3. Each manuscript will be checked for indications of plagiarism using Turnitin. The editor has the right to reject articles that are indicated to contain more than 25% plagiarism.
  4. Manuscripts can be in research results (field studies or literature), theoretical applications, or case reports.
  5. Manuscripts are written in Indonesian/English and follow the specified format. Editors will reject articles that do not match the template.
  6. Manuscripts are written with a word processing application and saved in DOC or DOCX format. The systematics of writing scientific articles follows the procedures/templates for writing from Ruhui Rahayu: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat.
  7. All manuscripts must be sent to the editor through the Ruhui Rahayu: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat page. The editor does not accept submissions of new articles or revisions via email.
  8. Confirmation of publication or rejection of the manuscript will be notified to the author by the Editorial email. Manuscripts that are not published are still the author's rights and can be sent to other scientific journals.
  9. The author is willing to make minor and major revisions if needed.

 

Article Writing Instructions

  1. Articles are written in Indonesian/English and follow the given template.
  2. Manuscripts are typed in Times New Roman font size 12pt, specifically for titles in bold with size 14pt, single-spaced, on A4 size paper with space for the right, left, top, and bottom edges of 3 cm each. The maximum length of the manuscript is 8,000 words, including title, abstract, body, bibliography, figures, and tables.
  3. The article's title is written in Indonesian followed by English and followed the provisions of the template.
  4. The author's identity contains the author's name written in full, not abbreviated, and without a title, author's institution, or author's email address.
  5. Abstract written in Indonesian and English with a maximum of 200 words. The English abstract is written first, followed by the Indonesian abstract. The abstract must contain a summary of the article, namely the objectives, methods, and results of the research/study. It is not allowed to use abbreviations and citations/reference sources in the abstract. Abstract followed by keywords up to 5 words/phrases. Abstracts written in English must be in US English style.
  6. The introduction contains a background problem that explains the phenomenon to be studied with the support of the latest reference sources (last 10 years) and the results of previous related research. The introduction also contains the problem (preferably only one problem that is the focus of the research), the research objectives, the benefits of the research, and the theory used to solve the problem—a maximum of 30% of the entire body of the manuscript.
  7. The method contains the methods used in the research carried out and should be described clearly and in detail—a maximum of 10% of the entire body of the manuscript.
  8. The discussion is presented by explaining the research results by the issues raised. The discussion section can be divided into sub-sections—a maximum of 50% of the entire body of the manuscript.
  9. Closing only contains conclusions and a maximum of 10% of the entire body of the manuscript.
  10. The bibliography contains a list of references, whether in books, scientific articles, or other sources, used in writing articles. The bibliography is the most current source for the last 10 years, except for primary sources, which are important and support the discussion; minimum of 10 references and a minimum of 80% primary sources from scientific journals.
  11. References should be written in alphabetical order, following the APA Style 7th edition. Authors MUST use the Mendeley reference manager application and cannot write the bibliography manually.
  12. The writing of tables and figures follows the conditions contained in the template.
    Editors do not receive communications via email. All communications, including manuscript revisions, are made through the Ruhui Rahayu: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat website.
