Abstract: Kecubung is a plant that contains atropine and scopolamine compounds
which can cause hallucinatory effects. Kecubung has the potential to be misused, so
health promotion of amethyst is needed. The aim of this activity is to increase
knowledge regarding the dangers of consuming Amethyst (Datura metel) at the
Banjarmasin Indah Community Health Center. The method used was leaflet, pre test
and post test to assess understanding regarding the dangers of consuming amethyst. The
results of this activity show an increase in understanding of the dangers of consuming
amethyst with an average pretest score of 65% and a post test score with an average
score of 91%. This shows an increase in understanding regarding the dangers of
consuming amethyst after health promotion was carried out. Health promotion is
important to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding the dangers of
consuming amethyst.

Abstrak: Kecubung merupakan tanaman yang mengandung senyawa atropin dan
skopolamin yang dapat menyebabkan efek halusinasi. Kecubung berpotensi
disalahgunakan sehingga diperlukan promosi kesehatan terhadap kecubung. Tujuan
kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait bahaya konsumsi Kecubung
(Datura metel) di Puskesmas Banjarmasin Indah. Metode yang digunakan penggunaan
leaflet, pre test dan post test untuk menilai pengetahuan terkait bahaya konsumsi
kecubung. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan bahaya konsumsi
kecubung dengan rata-rata nilai pre test 65% dan nilai post test dengan nilai rata-rata
91%. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan terkait bahaya konsumsi
kecubung setelah dilakukan promosi kesehatan. Promosi kesehatan penting untuk
meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat terkait bahaya konsumsi
kecubung.
